What is The Traveller Project?

The Traveller Project is the work of singer-songwriter Josh Chalfen, from Suffolk, now based in North London. Narrative-rich, riff-driven songs ranging from alt-folk to acoustic rock power the project. The music is inspired by living in the modern world, with themes like freedom, technology and loss. The project will evolve over time, alongside Josh & the world around him.

It's getting harder to tell what's real as AI, fake news and social media take over more of our lives. The next phase of the project will be a set of stripped back releases from live performances, after the release of the next single. Humanity is a protest alt-folk song about the consequences of our greed, and is yours on 20th November 2026.
